What Causes Cyst On The Top Of Sternum?

I have a cyst that is about the size of a golfball that has gone from a very small size this summer that is growing on the top of my sternum and is connected to something. It is in the tissue my doctor said. I have two doctors that say they have never seen anything like this before and they want a CT done
