What Causes Dandruff And Dry Raw Patches Around Nose?

I just recently started taking "the pill" and now i have dandruff and dry raw patches around my nose, could it be a side effect? My acne was not bad before the pill i took it because of my very heavy periods. Should I take a bc pill with less estrogen? My skin needs help! I'm flaking all over!
