What Causes Dark Brown Vaginal Discharge While On Yasmin?

I have had lower stomach and back pain, and today i've had a lot of dark brown discharge, which i think may be blood. I am on the contracaptive pill yasmin, and have missed a couple of pills, but have not had sex in the time after i missed them, i have no idea what it could be?
