What Causes Dark Brownish Spot On Cheek?

Hello-I have had a pinprick sized flat very dark brown or black dot on my right cheek. When I squeeze it it turns red but does not bleed. Then it goes back to original colour. It just appeared one day.I have had it for almost 2 years I think. I made an appointment today to see a dermatologist in March and also to have mole mapping. Could it possibly be cancerous? Also I have sun damage on the end of my nose. It is red and the skin peels on a regular basis. I have had that for years. Any advice is appreciated!
