What Causes Dark Colored Discharge From The Vagina That Has Sour Odor?

after peeing i noticed in my dark color undergarmet a spot the size of a quarter, the smell was horrible it was a sour odor and it also smelt like vomit. i dont know what is going on and im afraid to see a doctor but this been going on for a year. what could be wrong ?
