What Causes Dark Penile Discharge Post Treatment For Itching?

Hi I am concerned. I notice a brownish substance in the usual color of my semen. I have recently turned 50 and I am in excellent health otherwise. Do I have reason to be concerned and how should I respond to this. I have had a bit of a skin irritation on my penis and used some Savlon antiseptic cream on the outer skin to alleviate the itching and tenderness. This has now almost totally disappeared and feels much more comfortable. Could the use of the Savlon Cream have caused an irritation or infection contributing to the discoloration and brownish color of my semen?
