What Causes Dark Spot Near The Base Of Penis Shaft?

Notice a dark spot near the base of my penile shaft on the right side, doesn't hurt or itch or feel particularly hard. I never had this before and I been reading up on what it might be. I'm going back and forth between forcyde and pierones disease, I just wanted to make sure I'm not having something really serious
