What Causes Dark Spot On The Lung Post Pneumonia?

Had pneumonia the week before Christmas and recovered fine but took an x-ray 3 weeks afterward and the Dr saw a spot 3/4 in diameter in the same place the pneumonia was (upper right lobe). going to pulmonologist Monday. Whats your take on this situation.
