What Causes Dark Yellow Fluid To Come From A Hole Near The Ear?

My daughter has a smale hole on the side of her face-right next to her ear that is seeping a very terrible smelly thick dark yellow fluid. She said it was itching and she scratched it. It just keeps seeping and when you press on it-a lot more fluid continues. Any ideas?
