What Causes Darkness Around Joints, Knuckles And Knees?

hi, I always suffered and still suffering from dark joints ,knuckles, knees elbows under arms and toes and though i have fairly fair skin I consulted the gp and done the insulin test and other tests but all my labs were FINE !! I WONDER WHAT MIGHT BE THE HIDDEN CAUSE BEHIND THAT? thank you
