What Causes Decrease In Temperature After Treating An Ear Infection?

Hi, I would very much appreciate your advice. my 15 month old boy has only just been to the doctors for an ear infection and had a temp of 40 degrees with it for the first couple of days. He has just finished his course of antibiotics but is now experiences low temperatures of 35 degrees. Should I be concerned?
