What Causes Delay In Menstruation Despite Taking Medication For It?

My husband is in abroad..coming on 1jan..i have irregular periods..i consulted dr.and she gave me tablets. Yet i didnt get my periods.1 weak finished after taking the tablets..dr said me to come in 2nd day of period..(conceive)now i want to get my period.
