What Causes Delay In Periods And Dizziness?

My period was 7 days late this month. I am now on day of my period but the last 2 days I've been feeling really light headed and feeling a bit sick and sore heads. I've had a lot of upset recently as my sister in law died so wasn't sure if this was the cause of the late period. Please help
