What Causes Delay In Periods?

hi Doc i am 33 yrs of old and i missed my periods for this month last month in dec 2014 i received it on near around 18th. In this month it was due on 15th jan 2015 but i didnt get it till now so i think that i am pregnant. but me and my husband are not ready for this so wat pill i take to get the periods
