What Causes Delayed Menstrual Cycle?

My last period was on Jan 20 th 2011.Also i took my flight to USA on 20th night.I have not got my monthly periods yet.I had a pregnancy test done and it showed results as negative.Please could you advise me for the delayed periods.Is it because of the air travel ?
