What Causes Delayed Menstruation When On Birth Control Pill?

I started using triphasil 28 earlier this month (11june). I wasnt on my period so the docter told me to start using the white pills and not the red ones. My period was suppose to start the 28th but still hasnt, could it be because i started the pill wrong
