What Causes Delayed Menstruation?

i have not had my period this month. the test came back negative. I also had a Muti, and am now showing symptoms of bacterial vaginosis. My beats are very sore and swollen, i am very emotional. all symptoms of my period, but i am over week late. What could be happening?
