What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking I Pill?

i and my girlfriend had sex on 5th of april and she had the pill unwanted 72, the same evening,now the issue is that she was supposed to have her periods on 12-13th april and there is no sign of it and on the contrary she is getting symptoms of pregnancy, what should be done? please reply at YYYY@YYYY
