What Causes Delayed Periods After Taking Plan B Followed By Sex?

My girlfriend took two pills of plan B the next day after making love. But she did not get any symptoms.. it been exactly a week right now, but she does not have a period. Is it a sign of pregnancy? and if yes, what can we do to stop it before it takes form?
