What Causes Delayed Periods At The Age Of 17?

Hi i'm 17 years old and I haven't gotten my period in a month. I also am very sure that i'm not pregnant because I haven't had any sexual contact with a guy. I'm worried because I don't even remember the last time I got my period but im sure its been a little over a month. What could be happening?
