What Causes Delayed Periods When On Prenatal Supplements?

Hello, I have been taking prenatal vitamins to help me conceive. On March 4th I spotted and then it stopped. I spotted one time when I went to the bathroom and nothing since. I have been taking prenatal vitamins since March 5th. My period usually last 7 days, however, this month it did not come at all. I was diagnosed almost 3 years ago with bleeding ovarian cyst. After taking birth control pills for a while the cyst eventually went away. I was told that I would be able to have kids, it would just take a little longer then the average person. Since I missed my period I was wondering should I take a home pregnancy test or should I wait and see what happens next month. I was also wondering could the prenatal vitamins have and affect on my cycle.
