What Causes Delayed Periods While On Nuvaring?

Hi I been really worried about being pregnant I put my nuvaring in for 3 weeks took it out the fourth week and I haven t got a period I m 3 days late I haven t spotted or anything I took a pregnancy test and it s negative I just started the nuvaring so idk what to think.
