What Causes Delayed Periods With Spotting?

Hi, I got my period on the march 9th. I was over 5 to 6 days later now I am experiencing light bleeding. Mostly it is a dark brown color but occasionally it is light pink. This has never happened to me before and I am not sure what could cause this? Thanks :)
