What Causes Delayed Periods?

hello doctor, My girlfriend is not getting periods.She was suppose to get her periods on 27th of every month. We had sex 3 weeks before. Unfortunately i did not use condoms while having sex. She is more worried if she is pregnant. We last had sex on 8th oct. Please let me know for what reason she hasnt got her periods.
