What Causes Delayed Periods?

Hi, I am 3 days late for my period and I have absoulutly no discharge at all, my underwear are as clean as if I just pulled them out the package. A week ago I had an egg white discharge on saturday but then it just stopped is this normal oh yea havent took a pregnancy test yet
