What Causes Delayed Periods?

hello, doctor, i'm 18. i saw period on the 9th of last month as normally i should be expecting it on the 8th of this month. its up to 10 days now and i'm yet to dexpect it. actually i've met with no man so i know i'm not pegnant but i dont know whats wrong with me. i've never had such an experience before.
