What Causes Dent And Burning Feeling After Hitting Head?

I hit the top left side of my head the other day while closing the hatchback on my ford explorer. Now I have a dent about the size of of a quarter. I have a mild aching burning feeling where I hit my head. What could that be and should I see a doctor? I'm not dizzy or anything.
