What Causes Detachment For Finger And Toe Nails?

My 20 year old granddaughter has lost all of her fingernails and now her toenails. Went to several dermatologists and they say is is psoriasis but no improvement after several expensive drugs/injections. Can you please help? I feel like no one really knows what this is or causing it.
