What Causes Diarrhea And Cramps After Endoscopy?

Hi. I am a 25 year old female who just had an upper endoscopy 2 days ago. Within hours of the procedure I had a fever of about 102 and body aches, chills, and bad diarrhea with a lot of mucus accompanied by horrific cramps. My fever and chills and aches went away last night, but I am still having the diarrhea and cramps. I have been staying hydrated and have taken anti-diarrhea medication, but nothing is helping. Is this related to the endoscopy and should I be worried?
