What Causes Diarrhea And Stomach Discomfort After Taking Cefpodoxime For Sinus Inflammation?

I was prescribed Cefpodoxime for sinus inflammation. Dosage 1 tablet (200 mg) every 12 hours. I began the regimen on 1/2/2015. I am experiencing soft stools (frequency about every 2 hours) and mild to moderate stomach discomfort. Is this normal? Should I contact my prescribing physician?Thank you
