What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing Other Than Shingles?

Hi I was diagnosed Monday with Shingles. I am having a difficult time swallowing my food and medication. I m getting spasms in my throat and it feels like food is stuck in my esophagus. Is this from Shingles and will it go away when I m better? Thank you. Jill
