What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing?

Hi! This is about my father who is 68 yrs old and lately has been having difficulty swallowing. The doctors performed what they called the Barium test and the result was said to be there is no disruption in the food pipe. He has some cough and lot of phlegm also.
