What Causes Difficulty In Swallowing?

Last evening I drank 8 oz of gatorade (frost Glacial Freeze) with lower sugar than regular gatorade, and my throat felt like it was tightening up so I stopped drinking it. dr prescribed to replace electrolytes lost from vomitting with flu. what could I be allergic to in the gatorade?
