What Causes Discharge From The Ear After An Ear Infection?

About one month ago an insect(fb) entered my ear and i visited one of the hospitals and they removed the insect using the syringing method. Two weeks ago in a different town and I visited an ENT specialist and he informed me that I had an ear infection and he put me on antibiotics (cephalexin) and eardops. Yesterday I visited him for a review and he cleaned my ear by syringing and last night my ear started discharging and on I informing today he said its normal. He changed the drops to ciprocin and also asked me to use hydrogen peroxide for cleaning. What could be the cause for this discharge because I did not have it until yesterday.
