What Causes Discharge, Period Blood, Stomach Cramping Pain After A Coil Fitting?

i had a coil fitted 4 weeks ago and have had brown discharge starting and stopping since and as of last night i've had very dark red period blood, also i have had stabbing/ cramping pain in my lower belly which is very painful sometimes. Is this normal as i had a c section nearly 15 weeks ago.
