What Causes Discolouration And Swelling Of Eyes?

I vomited last Thursday and the skin around my eyes became discoloured from the pressure. This wasn t accompanied by any swelling or pain. On Saturday my upper and lower eyelids appeared swollen and it wasn t pleasant (but not painful) to look up or down. It s Monday now and the swelling hasn t gone down fully. Should I wait longer for this to clear on it s own or take something?
