What Causes Discomfort In Penis And Difficulty In Getting Hard Erection?

recently, over the last two weeks i have experience some discomfort in my penis generally at the base of the shaft, mostly on the top. I also have been having a harder time getting and maintaining an erection, i heard that it is possible to bruise your penis if it gets bent while you are erect, and i am wondering if that is possibly what i may have done. if so what should my course of action be. how should it be treated
