What Causes Discomfort In Sternum And Between Collar Bone?

Have mild discomfort in sternal bone also in to top shoulder blade sometimes in between collarbone& in to my arm. It alternates from area to area have it 3 wks now. Also very slight puffiness near sternal bone just a veryssmall area . What could be the cause? Thanks
