What Causes Discomfort, Swelling And Pain In Left Buttock?

I started having a discomfort in my left butt cheek about 2 years ago. It started off as feeling as though I was sitting on a marble. Multiple scans have not revealed anything. Now my whole left cheek is swollen and it hurts to stand, sit, or even lay down. What should I do?
