What Causes Dizziness Along With Headaches?

I've been feeling off balance and having headaches in my left temple for about a month now I had a catscan and there was nothing? I am really getting frustrated with this. I have been to see my doctor she thought I had vertigo. I am not dizzy with the room spinning but I am off balance. It's affecting my life now I don't go anywhere. What could this be?
