What Causes Dizziness And Pain In Chest While Sleeping?

Hi my husband has been having difficulty falling asleep. As soon as he puts his head on the pillow he feels dizzy and has some chest pain and also he feels his mouth is dried up with no saliva. then as soon as he falls asleep he jumps out of bed thinking he swallowed his tongue and gasping.....can someone diagnose this problem please? yes he snores and he has been having this problem for the past year. he saw all kind of specialist and no one gave him a straight answer they gave him melatonin to help him fall asleep only.
