What Causes Dizziness,sore Throat And Ear Pain?

My husband first started with a tickle in the back of his throat, he tried coughing to clear it. Woke up the next morning with dizziness, sore throat, and a earache a day later. And has had continued dizziness for three days and is jittery. (Hands shakey)
