What Causes Drainage Of Mucus From Nose Along With Cough?

I have been sick for over a month now, hard time breathing at times especially late night-early morning which is slightly better now I m not fighting for air at times anymore. The clear bubbly mucus can be overwhelming at times from the cough and from the nose. I went in and got a 10 day supply of Bactrim since I m highly allergic to penicillin. I finished the dose completely, I pay out of pocket to see the doctor and simply can not afford another visit. I havr tried mucinex, I tried nose sprays couldn t get the method down to take properly, I m at wits ends what to try next!
