What Causes Dry And Scaly Skin In Inner Thigh?

I am a 50 year old black male and have no known bad health condition. Hovever about 5 years ago I noticed that the skin in my inner thigh was rather scally and dry. I have attemted to use all kinds of creams and wear boxers but to no avail. I bath regularly to keep clean which helps but my skin does not improve. It is not a contingeous condition as my wife has no problems at all. My seem hot sometimes I do not know if this the cause and in addition to this I failed to get any children and suspect the problem is me. I have never gone for any check-up to establish me condition. Please help..
