What Causes Ear Pain While Burping?

My hear hurts when I burp. Started this morning. I noticed while I was still lying down, that when I swallow, it somehow makes my ear hurt. But then I stood up and that stopped. However, now, I feel the pain when I burp/hiccup. I've also been having a headache since I woke up, and before I went to bed last night, I felt sick, with a painful neck.
