What Causes Ectopic Heart Beat?

After sitting, when I get up and walk about a hundred feet or so, my heart begins to skip a beat and I can feel it in my chest. I do have an irregular heartbeat and am taking a beta blocker. I feel fine but I don t like the feeling. It has been doing this for 2 weeks.
