What Causes Electric Shock Sensation In Finger, Knee And Leg?

Hi. I feel an electric burning sensation in my left ring finger when I reach out for something. I also, have same sensation on the outside of my knee on my right leg. The pain feels like an electric jolt and lasts for about 5 seconds. Has been happening for about a year. What is this?
