What Causes Elevated MVC Level After Quitting Alcohol?

I drink a good amount of alcohol daily and have recently quit (3 weeks).Got blood work today and my MCV is 105. Everything else is normal.By stopping completely will my MCV get better over time. I am a 62 year old white male. The last blood work was 10 months ago and at that time my MVC was 102 and my Dr. said nothing. Your answer is greatly appreciated.Seems to me its just time to quit drinking completely. Thanks again.
