What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes?

Hello, I had blood work done in November and came back with elevated liver enzymes, ALT specifically. I had a CT Scan done for something else and it showed up with a hypodense lesion on my liver. Is this something to be concerned about? Also, would the lesion cause my ALT to be elevated? Thanks so much!
