What Causes Elevated Liver Enzymes?

Had blood tests about a month ago. Both ALT and AST levels were slightly elevated. Dr is having me redo test this week. Wondering how use of (1) alcohol-I had beer five days ago (2) ibuprophen- I had 600 mg six days ago will effect these blood tests. Can I so the tests tomorrow or do I need to wait longer.
